knitting randomness
I am really disliking this getting dark insanely early stuff. No time to photograph anything in decent light anymore. And I've never been a fan of flash photography.
So I am working away on the knitted elephant for my mom for Christmas (slightly adapting the elephant from World of Knitted Toys, my mom dislikes elephants with their trunks down, so the trunk should in theory be the only major modification, though I am not using DK weight yarn as called for, but I am using the same size needles for extra dense, hole free fabric). And I have the entirety of one side done. And I was working on the otherside earlier today. When I saw a "work for 9 rows" that I totally missed on the first side. And it is a big chunk of the way down the side. But that's ok because I missed a "work for 3 rows" further up the same side.
Side number two is nearing completion, at which time I will frog side number one back to where I need to add all those extra rows and all will be right in the world of knitted elephants.
My sister is not getting a hat to match her Fetchings, as I rather disliked how it was knitting up so I frogged it and decided she's getting Fetchings only and if she wants a hat or headband she can get one a few weeks late.
And I also frogged the 22nd dishcloth I made that I disliked terribly. The pattern (basic bamboo one) annoyed me to no end, it took forever to do, and it leaned horridly. Ick. It is not becoming part of another ballband and when it is finished (it's at the halfway point right now) I then have oh... at least 12 more to do before Christmas for Chris's sisters. Eek.
