Elephant, part 2...

My mom loves him. Me... not so happy about the laddering on his forehead (I got sick of seaming so I converted the head to be knit on DPNs). And the upturned trunk could have been a spaced a bit better.

He's not perfect, but he's terribly loveable as is, and that's what really matters, right?

Last night I started a new project within minutes of finishing him - it will be a Jughead hat for Chris. He saw the one in DomiKnitrix, but I am not fond of the construction method, so this is a top-down, mostly stockinette hat. It's only about 4 rows completed so far since Sage woke up just after I started it, so I've got a lot of work to do on it yet. When I finish Chris's I am making one for Sage in a deep plum yarn.

I think I am afraid of starting Rogue. It's such a big project. Eep.

In destashing news, I returned all unused balls of Sugar & Cream and the extra ball of Paton's Classic from the elephant (wasn't sure of how much I needed when I bought the yarn, I got three balls, used 1 and probably not even a 1/4 of the second one) to A.C. Moore and used the store credit for Sage's hat yarn (Moda Dea's washable wool, because I couldn't find anything else I liked at all there since they clearanced what decent yarns they had) and Sudoko books for Harley. So that's 5 less balls of yarn to destash this year. A gazillion more to go yet...

The Elephant is fantastic and I didn't notice any laddering on the forehead until you mentioned it.
