One skein

rogue2

One skein of Jaeger Shetland Aran will produce one gauge swatch of roughly 4" square and 31 rows of actual sweater (counting two for the hem, one before the purl row, and the purl row).

I finished the first skein earlier, just before the end of row 29 of the first cable chart, and will be joining the second skein tomorrow.

Surprisingly, even with the diagnosis of carpal tunnel in my left hand/wrist, I've still been able to knit, though much more slowly than before. Wearing a wrist brace almost constantly has been helping immensely, but my hand is still rather weak and numb. Hopefully it will continue to improve though as I've not been able to cut fabric or draft patterns for several weeks and I was already far behind with the sewing.

Nice job with Rogue! What a great choice of yarn. I have a half-done rogue ... I made a big mistake on the cabling on the lower part of the hood that I have to rip out. Grrr ... I really should get back to it. I have some tips re: your carpal tunnel stuff -- I'll come back later with more info -- but I just wanted to say that I'm finally mailing your sock package today!! :) Yippee ... hopefully the socks will fit and will arrive by Weds (I think they should). -- your hogwarts swap partner (who is now named Phyllida for the second year swap)
