Happy Mabon!
Not a ton of stuff to update with, but it's been more than 6 months since I did post an update. I added a new fabrics page and added to the existing one, plus I have plans for some revamping of a skirt design that will be added shortly. All non-rush orders from this point forward will not be guaranteed for arrival before the new year due to how busy I am. If you need an item for sometime before the end of the year, a rush charge will be added, so please email before ordering to make sure of the cost and whether I can do your item for your needed date.

Several skirt pages have been updated... the tulle skirt is now an extra-pouffy 5 layers of tulle as opposed to the three it had been for ages, the circle skirt is now available with a bat overlay as well as the spiderweb, and the cargo wrap skirt has different color options since we are currently unable to find additional olive fabric to our liking. As time allows, I plan to do additional updates throughout the website.

I have started taking limited orders again. Please send me an email before ordering to make sure I am capable of taking your order, as I'd hate to have to refund someone's money due to not being able to complete the order in a timely manner.

Effective March 1st, BlackRayne will not be taking orders of custom clothing designs for the foreseeable future.
We will continue taking orders up to then, but I will warn you right now that we are very behind with orders, so any new ones placed before the 1st will be done around mid-May at the earliest.
If you are currently awaiting an order from us, please understand that what was my ability to work part time (3-4 hours per day at the most), is about to be an ability to work 3-4 hours per WEEK. All currently pending orders will be filled ASAP, but there may be more of a delay than I had already anticipated.
We will be continuing to take soap orders, and we will be expanding the soap and bath section of our site soon.
While we aren't overly happy about doing this, it is necessary, due to changes being made in our household, and we don't want to keep our customers waiting for their items more than we already have been. We will resume taking orders on a limited basis sometime around late spring or early summer. If you place an order through our website after March 1st for custom clothing, it will be refunded back to you, unless you are prepared to wait several months for us to have time to complete your order.

Thank you all for making our sale a huge success! Orders right now are a bit behind due to the massive response to our corset sale, but I will, as always, try to get your order out to you ASAP. We have finally completed the first of hopefully many men's pieces. Today I proudly introduce the men's pvc buckle corset... hopefully soon we will have photos of it on it's new owner, if he is kind enough to share them with me. I hope to have more men's pieces done within the next few months.

We are having a sale! To celebrate three years of being online, all corsets are on sale through the end of the year! Yep... you certainly did read that correctly. Corsets with a regular price of $200 or under are $25 off the listed price, corsets with a regular price over $200 are $50 off! To take advantage of the sale pricing, you will have to email me and I will send payment information to you.
Please note that due to the nature of this sale, and our current workload, all orders will have an approximate 10-12 week turnaround time. I cannot offer rush orders with this sale, nor can I guarantee any custom items for pre-Christmas or New Year's delivery. If you want to order something as a Christmas gift, please let me know and I will send you a hand-made card to present to the gift recipient stating that you have an item on order for them and that they will receive it shortly.
I am also now offering gift certificates, which are available in any dollar amount. Due to the nature of PayPal's shopping cart, orders placed using a gift certificate as full or partial payment will also need to be emailed to me, but I will include redemption instructions with them.

Drak.net has recently installed new spam filters onto all of their servers. If you have recently sent me an email but didn't get a reply, chances are it was marked as spam and didn't get to me. I would recommend trying to resend the email, or sending it from a different email address (I know I always have problems with AOL, Yahoo and Hotmail accounts). It is time to do another sale!
I am currently offering $15.00 off the listed price on ALL skirts! In order to take advantage of this sale, you will have to email me with your order, and I will send a PayPal payment request to you for the order. All skirt orders will be processed ASAP, but could take anywhere from 4-6 weeks to fill, simply because of my current workload. This sale's on until the end of October only, so act now!

Still backed up a bit, which is nothing new. I will NOT be taking any orders for before Halloween delivery at this time. I have too much of a current workload to allow for new orders to be done before then, and even if it was a rush order there is no way I can guarantee that it would be completed in time for Halloween. If you want to order something for Christmas, I strongly recommend that the order be placed before September 15. If it is placed after that date, I will not be able to promise a before Christmas delivery without adding a rush charge onto the order.

Just a quick update to let you know that all current orders are being worked on as quickly as possible. Between a recent computer crash (don't worry, I have everyone's information written down) and the death of a sewing machine, things here have been beyond hectic. I am currently working with an approx 8-10 week turnaround time, so please keep that in mind if you intend to order. I also cannot accept any rush orders at the present time due to the workload I have. New designs are still on hold, though hopefully not for too much longer.

The baby's due
date has come and gone, tonight I am going to the hospital to
have labor induced, and thus I will be unavailable to check email
until the end of the week at the earliest. I am not going to
be taking any new orders until the beginning of April...if you
are awaiting an order from me, please know that I will be getting
it done as soon as I possibly can, which will hopefully be before
the end of March. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Added three new
corsets to the site. Lowered the price of the victorian underbust
as well (how often do you see someone LOWERING their prices?).
I plan to stop taking orders around the middle of January due
to having to get things here ready for the baby, so if you want
something, order it now! I will most likely be doing very little
as far as sewing goes until sometime in April, but will keep
things here updated as to how everything is going.

I am still not
fully caught up with orders, but I plan to be by the end of the
month. The pregnancy is going good, the morning sickness has
passed (with the exeption of some occasional nausea), and I am
starting to become motivated again. I am also very honored to
be listed on the Dark Side of the Net. YAY!

Several factors
are coming into play with my decision to temporarily stop taking
custom clothing orders. The primary reason is my pregnancy. I
am also rather backed up with orders that I have taken in the
last few months, and I need time to get them finished, as well
as work on some new designs I have been planning. Once all current
orders are complete I will consider allowing some custom orders,
but not many as I want to have some time to prepare for the arrival
of our second child. Please check back here as I will continue
to post updates on this page as they are needed.

Hmmm...after
a bit of thought I have decided to kill the cyber buckle skirt.
I am actually going to be doing very little pvc work from now
on, as I find it to be rather tedious and a general pain in the
ass to work with. Expect to see some new skirt designs in the
future though.

Several changes
to note...all of the photos are now watermarked with a copyright
logo. Don't get any nifty ideas about "borrowing" any
of the images, ok? Changed the wording on one of the pages. You
get to guess which. (It pertains to the previous news update
below).

There are several
reasons why I have decided to add this page...the first is to
let all of my customers know that I am currently pregnant, and
will be giving birth to my second child sometime around late
February or early March, 2003. I have been experiencing delays
due to the joys of morning sickness, so if you want to order
something, please email me first to make sure I can
complete your garment in a reasonable amount of time.
Second...I have
decided to ditch the guestbook, mainly because it wasn't being
used often enough to justify it.
Third, and most
important right now...I have recently found out that there are
other companies making a design almost identical to my batwing
corset. This corset is a copyrighted design that I created, and
I am not amused that there are other companies trying to pass
it off as one of their original designs...I am the only person
who holds the copyright to this design, and purchasing this design
from any other company supports that company's desire to be sued
by me for copyright infringement. Help do your part to stop these
design thieves...do not purchase from them!
